DNO Norge selects Xpert BI to accelerate digital transformation.

The goal for DNO Norge is to minimize manual efforts and enable their employees to become data-driven. When data and insights are easily available, employees make better and faster decisions, based on data they can trust. DNO Norge wanted an easy-to-use dashboard containing all relevant information at the fingertips of the Asset manager.
Who is DNO?DNO ASA is a Norwegian oil and gas operator active in the Middle East, the North Sea, and West Africa. Founded in 1971 and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, the Company holds stakes in onshore and offshore licenses at various stages of exploration, development, and production in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, Norway, the United Kingdom, Côte d'Ivoire, Netherlands, and Yemen.
Currently, DNO Norge has diversified production across 10 fields in the North Sea of which eight are in Norway and two in the UK. DNO Norge holds 75 licenses in Norway in various stages of exploration, development, and production.

The need for data
To manage offshore investments, asset managers need data. Data is generated and stored in various sources and business systems, both internally and externally. Getting access to data from different systems is often time-consuming and relies on manual processes. As a result, it is difficult to get a complete overview of an offshore field.
Asset managers need:
• Financial data such as investments and operating costs
• HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) data
• Operations data covering production and sales
• ...and all this combined with budget numbers.

Technical deliverables
The solution is built in Azure, using various native Azure services. Xpert BI is utilized to accelerate development, document and control the solution data lineage, and optimize data loads. DNO uses Power BI as their preferred tool for visualization.
