Green Mountain continues to expand its data centers in Norway. With the expansions comes an ever-increasing amount of data that can be used for new insights and to make better decisions. To harvest insight from their data, Green Mountain has entered into an agreement with BI Builders to establish a digital platform based on Microsoft Azure and Xpert BI.
The contract initially includes reporting and analysis, but will in the long run contribute to optimizing the operation of Green Mountain's three data centers.
"The rapid growth of Green Mountain has increased the need for structured and efficient reporting and analysis. BI Builders has solved this need very efficiently by implementing Xpert BI for our financial system. We look forward to starting the next project which will structure the data collection from over 100,000 sensors in our data centers, and increase the availability of data in our customer portal " says Business Analyst Manager in Green Mountain, Henning Tangen.
BI Builders has also helped Smedvig become data-driven, which has given Green Mountain the opportunity to experience the effect of automation in advance.
"We have a long and good collaboration with Smedvig, and are grateful that they pass on the value of Xpert BI to Green Mountain. We look forward to helping Green Mountain become data-driven. The opportunities are many, and we look forward to an exciting collaboration in the years to come. " explains Chief Executive Officer, Jarle Soland.
The collaboration is well on its way, and Green Mountain is already retrieving valuable reports from its new data warehouse.
"It's amazing how quickly data can become insight if one allows automation to handle the repetitive, manual and costly tasks. Instead of spending time gathering and transforming data, Green Mountain can focus on analytics, insights and business value. ” concludes Jarle Soland.
